Well it is time for this week’s wrap up installment. It also marks the beginning of the school year. It was a busy week but it also went really well. Not only did Hannah start her school year but I also started my school year schedule at work. I have some new responsibilities and have more direct student contact this year which has been fun and challenging.
The first photo was Hannah’s first day of school photo. I have found that teen girls don’t like to pose that often so I caught this one while she was working on her school while sitting in my room. With my new work schedule it is working well to sit down when I first get home from work and go over what she has work on during the day and to answer any questions she might have.
The next three photos were all taken on the morning of August 19th. I was heading out to work and while stopped at the corner I took several shots to try to get the best picture.
I think the last photo is my favorite. And I still made it work in plenty of time.
On Friday night despite the hot temperatures we still had some very yummy hamburger soup that Dan started in the morning before he left for work. It was full of lots of yummy goodness and tasted really great with some great bread from Publix. I love soup and can’t wait until it cools off just a bit more so we can have more. Of course as we were eating the soup I thought of a memory I had of my dad who always said you needed something hot on a hot day because it would make you sweat and cool you off. Not sure if I quite believe that one or not.
Hannah received a great crafting center from her grandma. She spent time this week getting it all set up to accommodate both her crafting and her school work. She’s made a really great little study center. She has really showed a lot of growth and maturity over the last few months. It has been wonderful to see her taking on leadership roles at Camp Fire and taking more ownership over her school this year as well.
It was a great and busy week. I think we made a great start on the school year and I hope to caring this great work forward. I had two great weekends getting some digital scrapping done. Some for CT work that will be shared next month and some others that I hope to post later this week. I also hope to get a what we are doing for school post done sometime in the next few weeks as well.
Thanks for stopping by.
