My first challenge I worked on was the Scraps N Pieces – Font Challenge. The font challenge this month was to use two different fonts in the title of a layout. I used the recommended fonts found in the challenge.
I created a double page layout to celebrate Joshua’s graduation at the end of May. The left side of the layout is the one submitted for the challenge.
Kit – FranB – Glad Grad — Template – Scrapping with Liz – Keep it Real Double Template 7 — Fonts – Georgia Regular, Slim Jim, Big John.
The next double page layout again uses one side of the layout for the challenge. This layout was for the Scraps n Pieces Collab Kit Challenge. The Collab Kit for August is Ol’ Man River.
I created a double page spread for my monthly pictures for June 2016.

Challenge #3 and 4
The next double page layout actually gave me the chance to submit each side to a different challenge because using the same layout is cheating. The left side was submitted for the Ginger Scraps Brush Challenge. The Brush provided for the challenge creates a great banner. The ride side was submitted to Scraps n Pieces Featured Designer Challenge. The featured designer is Magical Scraps Galore.
I layout features pictures taken at the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden taken on our trip to Washington DC in 2010. I loved the wavy lines for the picture areas on the Yin Designs template that I used. I felt like it gave it a very arty like feel.

The final two-page layout I worked on was created with two separate templates instead of a double page template. The left side with the title was the one submitted for the challenge. It was submitted for the Ginger Scraps – Alpha/Font Challenge. This challenge also asked for the use of two different fonts in creating the title. I again used the suggested fonts for this challenge. I had never tried this technique before this weekend but I’ve decided I really like the way it comes out so I’m sure I will use it again.
I created two pages from the Easter Sunrise Service at Bok Tower Gardens this year. The first page features the series of pictures I took of the tower from the moment we arrived until the sun was full risen. The second page is a collection of other pictures taken that morning and a bit of the story of getting up and going to worship and finishing up with breakfast at iHop.

That’s a Wrap
I felt really productive this weekend. I also created one more layout that was for my work as a part of MagsGraphics CT team. Watch for that one next month.
