Being Social – Weekly Wrap-Up
It was a busy week with different kinds of social activities. Sometimes life seems like so much of the same thing and other days it seems like one thing after another.
We started out the week with the heritage fellowship dinner at church. I made my mother’s Baked Spaghetti. Hannah had different ideas of what meal she wanted to make but finally settled on Viking Stew. When she got to the store to buy the ingredients she didn’t have her shopping list. But with the help of technology I was able to take a picture of the ingredients list so they could finish their shopping.
When I was out the kids in the playground I was buzzed by some kind of insect. So I looked for it and found it walking around. I wasn’t sure what it was so I scooped it up and to remove it. The kids all got so excited to take a look at it. I snapped a quick picture. I was pretty sure I knew what kind of bug it was but posted on social media just to make sure. It was confirmed that it was an assassin bug.
Dan won a contest through Ford and got to spend a several day in Detroit. Both with the group and on his own he was able to visit the Henry Ford Museum and the Greenfield Village. He also toured the Ford Truck plant and had several catered meals. He had a great time and it was nice for him to have a chance to have a break.
On Saturday, Hannah, decided to attend the Bartow High School Homecoming Dance with some of her friends from church. Before the dance one of the mom’s got several shots of the girls. I loved the fact that Hannah was determined not to wear a dress like the rest of the girls. I love these pictures that caught Hannah.
Well it was a social week and a lot of fun things happened. This next week should be a very ordinary regular kind of week.
